Information we collect
When you browse, order or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, billing and delivery address, telephone number, order details, communications with us, and technical information such as IP address, browser and device data. For a personalised storybook, we may collect the child’s first name supplied by the purchaser. Please do not provide unnecessary sensitive information about a child.
Why we use it
We use personal data to process and deliver orders, provide the personalised storybook, send order and service emails, answer enquiries, prevent fraud, improve our website and meet legal, tax and accounting duties. We rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and protecting the store, legal obligations, and consent where required.
Payments, delivery and service providers
We use payment providers to process payments; we do not receive or store full payment-card details. We may share the information needed to fulfil and deliver an order with our fulfilment and delivery providers, including Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfilment where used. We also use website, email and hosting providers that process data for us to operate the store.
Cookies
We use essential cookies that allow the cart, checkout and account features to function. Third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies for security, measurement or advertising. You can control cookies through your browser. Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, we will request it.
How long we keep information
We keep customer and order information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services and meet legal, accounting, tax and dispute-resolution obligations. We then delete or anonymise it where appropriate.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, or receive a portable copy. Contact info@joynroll.co.uk. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
